ABOUT THE CAMPAIGN

I was born in Centralia, Illinois. I moved to Kentucky by the age of 4. The only days I really remember were spent here in Central Kentucky as a kid between Lexington and Nicholasville. I went to Millcreek Elementary, Tates Creek Middle School and spent my 4 years of High School at East Jessamine High School before attending BCTC in Lexington. I have 2 beautiful girls Emory and Audrey. 

 

Russ Meyer sparked my interest in local politics about 8-10 years ago, I remember him coming to my door as my daughter played around the house. We talked for about 10-15 minutes in the rain and it was likely my first time meeting a politician face to face of any sort but it peaked my interest in local politics ever since.

 

My parents made enough for us to get by but we could never seem to get over the hump. I stressed about money before I could properly count money as my parents did what they could to make ends meet. Most of my summers were spent out in Georgetown working on my dads boss's farm. Burning out fence line with a weed eater or shoveling mulch that left a smell lingering in my nostrils for days. My sister and i didn't have much that we didn't work for but we knew the value of a dollar at a young age, we knew what hard work meant. Things that still stick with us today.
